I thought an inevitable question that would be asked eventually is whether a raw foods diet can assist with fat loss or weight loss. First of all, I am not a doctor or a nutritionist, but I do do a lot of exercise each week. I think the human body responds best to the “fuel” or food that you decide to fuel it with. Choose to fuel it with burgers, fries, cakes, chocolate bars etc most of the time your body will respond. Choose to fuel your body with good food or raw foods and your body will respond. It really is a matter of personal choice as to what you decide to put in your mouth – it is not the marketing companies fault or the supermarkets fault for an individual’s unhealthy diet – it is theirs!
Even if you are not interested in a raw foods diet from a fat loss or weight loss point of view I still think it is worth considering from a raw food detox diet point of view.
When considering a raw foods diet, for whatever health benefits you are seeking, you have two options. You can either go it alone and go to the supermarket and getting raw foods and working out the best combinations etc. (Again, as I mentioned in a previous post I will not eat raw brussel sprouts!). This approach is fine if you have time to experiment to find out what works best for you.

The other approach is to find someone that already knows how to structure a raw foods diet or a raw food detox diet for maximum effect. You can relax, it is not me! It is a guy called Yuri. Like most things in life I believe you can get to where you want to be quicker if you find and copy, or model, that person. This works for a raw foods diet too!
Yuri has put together a large amount of information on raw foods and how to use it for weight loss and a healthy diet. He used to be a professional soccer player in France and had to do a lot of physical training, and found he was always tired. He quickly worked out that he was eating food that was not suitable for him and the demands he was making on his body.
Yuri qualified as a holistic nutritionist and quickly found out that many of the things he thought he knew about food and a good diet were totally wrong. He has come up with a great book for a raw foods diet that shows you exactly what you need to do. Yuri even shows you how to make raw chocolate! I like the fact he is not preaching to the reader and does not demand you change your diet 100% – even small changes can have a positive effect. It is really a case of take what works for you from it and put it into practice. It really is a great investment in your health.
